CMNTY Platform 5.24.0 – Discussion Board Points, Blog API, & Security
Every two weeks, we release updates to our community platform; today’s release is Platform 5.24.0. As we continue to release updates to the platform, we’ll also release a blog post here to help walk you through the new features of Platform 5.24.0.
Point Triggers for Discussion Board
As a continuous effort to bring Discussion Board to the next level, we now have added the ability to give points within the Discussion Board module. You can either give points based on comments or based on discussions. This will allow you to reward your members for being active in Discussion Board. Implementation of notifications will follow in the upcoming releases.
Blog API Endpoints
Our platform already contains a substantial API. We have added new endpoints with this release. You can now retrieve all blog categories, blogs and comments from the platform. In the upcoming releases, we will also add the option to retrieve forum topics and forum posts from the API.
This release also contains a security update. Some vulnerabilities in one of the underlying frameworks were found. Although platforms are not directly affected by these vulnerabilities, we updated the underlying software anyway.
We recently added the first two lab functionality. A new and improved admin design which gives you more screen space and newsletter click rate, which allows you to track how many links were clicked within a newsletter. If you haven’t checked yet, make sure to see our Labs configuration page and leave us with feedback after you enabled it.
Wondering What Else We’re Working On?
Right now, our development team is hard at work to continue to improve the platform with new Insights, Discussion Board functionality and API from Platform 5.24.0. Stay tuned and never hesitate to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions!
